You Just Need to Feel

I saw this quote from Cory Muscara shared on social media the other day:

“Sometimes life is just incredibly tragic. You don’t need an inspirational quote. You just need to feel. Be angry. Grieve. Cry. You can find the deeper meaning and growth opportunity later. First, be human.”

It can be easy to rush into “fixing” or reframing difficult emotions, especially when we’re constantly surrounded by messages about good vibes, growth, and positivity. But sometimes, the most healing thing we can do is simply allow ourselves to sit with the rawness of being human. This week, I invite you to breathe and welcome in any feeling as it exists. Experiencing anger, grief, fear, and sadness fully is a form of self-compassion, creating space for each of us to exist as we are.

Inspire | “May you find – strength where there is weakness, calm where there is chaos, kindness where there is cruelty, and light wherever there is darkness.” Unknown

Listen | A Beautiful Noise by Alicia Keyes and Brandi Carlile embodies the intersection of mindfulness and social justice, reminding us that individual voices, rooted in authenticity and reflection, can unite to create powerful change. Please do not forget that your voice matters. Thank you for sharing this, Rachael.

Try This | Give yourself an extra five minutes to get wherever you’re going this week. This small buffer can transform your experience, shifting your nervous system from a state of fight-or-flight into calm and regulation.
