This summer has been a lot…There are times when the rain has seemed endless, and then came the tornado that ripped through our community. It has been a long week, and I know many of us are still feeling the effects.
And yet, in the middle of all of it, I have been reminded of something quite powerful.
I have never been more grateful for my neighbors. We’ve gathered together in the streets clearing branches, checked in on one another, shared supplies, and offered encouragement when there weren’t really words to make things better. It hasn’t changed what happened, but it has reminded me that none of us has to go through difficult seasons alone.
Sometimes the world feels heavy. The news can be discouraging. Life can feel uncertain. As you move through this week, I invite you to step outside and look around. Notice the people who make up your neighborhood. Offer a smile. Lend a hand. Reach out with a kind word. Grow your community one conversation, one act of kindness, and one helping hand at a time.
