Friluftsliv

Last week, the Morton Arboretum sent out a beautiful newsletter sharing the Nordic concept of Friluftsliv (free-LOOTS-liv) which emphasizes the importance of being outdoors and finding something that you love in every season. This tradition embraces spending time amongst the trees instead of avoiding the cold and darkness.

Inspire | “In order to love who you are, you cannot hate the experiences that shaped you.” Andrea Dykstra

Listen | I am currently in love with this version of the Adi Mantra by Alexia Chellun. This chant invites you to connect to your inner guide and the light that exists within.

Did You Know | Practicing bridge pose regularly stretches the chest, neck, spine, and hips. It also strengthens the back, buttocks, and hamstrings. Even more, bridge pose improves circulation and helps alleviate stress. Take some time to practice bridge pose each day this week, and explore how it makes you feel.
