As This Year Comes to a Close

As we approach the close of this calendar year, I invite you to slow down just enough to notice where you are. The end of a year is not a finish line to race toward, but a threshold that asks us to pause, reflect, and gently loosen our grip on what no longer needs to be carried forward.

This is a time to practice kindness, especially with yourself. To soften expectations. To honor boundaries that protect your energy. To make room for gratitude, even alongside uncertainty. Let compassion guide how you speak to yourself and others, and permit yourself to meet your own needs without apology.

As we release what belongs to the past year, may we also release the urge to rush into what’s next. Practice presence here, in this moment. Find peace with what has been, and trust that what is meant to come will meet you in its own time.

Inspire | “Wear gratitude like a cloak, and it will feed every corner of your life.” Rumi

Read | Astrology isn’t just about planetary positions; it’s a mirror for our inner landscapes, inviting us toward self-awareness, community, and purposeful action. As we prepare to welcome the new year, it’s a meaningful moment to look ahead at some of the significant collective shifts unfolding. I invite you to take a few moments to read and explore this article from my astrologer, Chani Nicholas. Hopefully, you find it as informative and inspirational as I did.

Try This | If everything starts to feel too big or overwhelming, go little. Nibble at your to-do list one small, manageable step at a time and trust that gentle progress still counts. Often, doing less with intention allows more to unfold naturally. Make space for purposeful rest and let it be part of how you move forward, not a reward for finishing.
